Water? Yes, Please
We are made up of 60% water, so isn’t it a no brainer that it should be our go-to beverage? Well, not so much. Despite the health benefits that drinking a significant amount of water daily can entail, most people just simply find it too boring. Well, it’s only as boring as you make it. There’s still ways to ensure you’re consuming a sufficient amount of water without being tempted to reach for that sugar filled drink instead.
Lemons
Lemons are one the easiest ways to add a little flavor into your ice cold beverage. Squeezing a lemon, or even putting a slice or two in the water can give it that extra kick. Next time you’re enjoying restaurant, make sure you ask for a slice or two in your water.
Fruit
Infusing water with fruit is also a great alternative. Simply cut up fruit, citrus working the best, and chill them in ice water overnight, and by morning you’ll have a refreshing beverage.
Mint
The flavor of mint isn’t just for candy and gum, try it in your water for a refreshing boost. Chopping up mint leaves and adding them into your glass of water will ensure you a great taste.
Lavender
After thoroughly rinsing lavender, it can be a great addition to your glass of water! This is not the most common choice among water enthusiasts, but it’s important to get creative and find an enjoyable recipe.
Combination
Being creative is necessary, as sometimes the best results come from a combination of flavors. Try water with cucumber and lemon, watermelon and mint, or even lime and orange! The possibilities are endless when finding the right combination.
